A Week in Chicago....

It's been a week since I started this Blog, and since it is summer herein the CHI, we have been out and about more often than usual, but lately due to the fluctuation in temperatures we've been feeling rather fatigue. Maybe its due to over exercising, we ran for a total of 10 miles this week, and my lefts felt tired. We even went for a walk around Lake View last night and felt exhausted afterward. I guess rest is in order for this weekend, but alas  I have to work my other job this weekend.

Well here are pics from the past week. As you can see below, it rained rather heavily. This is the views from our place looking out to Belmont Ave.

Since I had to work last Saturday, I didn't take any pics. Although we did went for groceries.

Sunday morning is always best spent at Church. We frequent the Cathedral in downtown Chicago.

Here we are at Navy Pier:

We got our tickets online from a deal that GroupOn had, so we only needed to get the bracelet for entrance to the ships.

Not that boat, but a much bigger boat. Although we kinda thought it would be more like the Black Pearl. LOL!

Can't recall the name of this boat.

These were taken below deck, which is quite roomy, just not tall enough.

That is one of the member of the crew sharing her story about living inside this boat.

Wifey laughed her head off when I pulled this stunt.....HarHar...

This little baby girl was staring at me...so I had to take her pic.

We were then greeted by this sign for Churros, it was $3 so ain't too bad filled with cream cheese.

We ventured into the WORLD FAMOUS Billy Goat Tavern at Navy Pier. Decided not to eat there, too touristy, LOL!

Only 1745 Miles to LA LA LAND.

We ended up driving all the way down to South Canal Street to Lawrence Fisheries for fried shrimp and scallops. Mighty tasty!

We ordered the 1 pound shrimp dinner (fried shrimp, fried, roll & coleslaw) and we add a 1/2 pound fried scallops.

That statue is there to greet you on your way out.
