The Importance of Sunday Dinner

Some might argue that the value of a traditional family is overrated, a family in 2012 is not what it used to be back in the 60's, 70's, 80's nor 90's. Heck it's not even the same in 2010. But just because a family no longer consist of a father, mother, grandparents etc, it doesn't mean that they have to change the tradition of Sunday Dinner. If anything, Sunday Dinner might be the MOST important time for a family to spend together. 

The importance of Sunday Dinner with family, sharing a meal, conversations and being thankful for the togetherness is something that can be considered foreign in my family. We only spend time eating together when we eat out. We hardly ever sit at the dinner table together. 

Being overseas and as an adult, now I realized that this is something that has values and importance to provide for our family's next generations. Maybe it's the difference in culture or the habit just wasn't formed by many back home, but I believe that if we all started sharing our Sunday Dinner together, whether with our family or with the folks around us that we consider family, that will help build a stronger family foundation. 

Traditional family values is not overrated, the nucleus of a family might change but the importance of sharing a meal at Sunday Dinner should always be a core of a family.

Yeah, I know, the Olympic is done and I am having issues coping with what to watch now that all the Olympians have returned to their respected countries or they've bolted to another country in search for freedom. Thankfully, there's always my interest in sneakers, food and other nonsense that can keep me awake for the remainder of the summer or until NFL football season starts in 3 weeks. So I thought, I would share this pic from everyone's favorite Nike guy in China that seems to be getting all the good stuff. and NO, these are not LeBron's feet. The shoes are meant for LeBron but it was left behind in China for this V.I.P.

So adidas seems to be the big winner at the 30th Olympiad in London. They are the outfitter of Team USA Gymnastic team that won GOLD, and you know gymnastic is one of the elite events in the olympic next to swimming of course. Even though Nike provided Team USA with all the medal stand outfits, the brand with the three stripes is the one we see when these young ladies did their routines and it is only fitting that they get a few perks from adidas for winning gold.
